Lioness Shows Compassion for Injured Fox

This Lioness Caught a Fox Cub And Does The Last Thing You’d Expect

Nature can be a brutal place, but this lioness proves that sometimes even the most fearsome predators can show compassion.

This is the moment a lioness caught a bat-eared fox in Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana, Africa.

Having clearly sustained an injury to its spine or pelvis from the encounter, the fox dragged its hindquarters when it attempted to stand.

Meanwhile, a male lion, possibly eyeing up the fox as a quick snack, approached the scene curious as to what had happened.

In the end, hunger got the better of him, and sadly… (we opted not to show that photo; God bless the soul of the little fox.)
